Wii Light-gun

Post by Lord_Santa »

I've my eye on House of the Dead (for now), but all the reviews I seem to find take a disliking to the Wii-Zapper

having never tried any of the Wii guns, I've always thought that the official Wii-Zapper seemed like a perfect gun for just about any light-gun/FPS game out there

so I'm curious as to if anyone has any suggestions on other light-guns for the Wii and which is (in your opinion) the better?

any help appreciated

my wife and I have been playing House Of The Dead 2 using only the Wiimotes. We've had no problems.

The Wii zapper is just a plastic housing with trigger operating your existing Wii controller.
Maybe try House of the Dead with just the bare Wii controller first?

yeah that's what I figured it out. It was more money for a piece of plastic that looked like the butt of a gun. No need.

Talk about marketing. New "Controllers" for the Wii. Looks like a Mattel model kit. :D

Another vote for the Nyko Perfect Shot. It really does make it a lot more intuitive, much more arcade-feeling. Not to mention you can smack the butt of the gun like you were slamming a clip in and it registers as the reload shake! Very amusing. And I think the Perfect Shots are pretty cheap too, I definitely recommend picking one up for any light-gun games.
