Is it possible to get one of these things below $~50? Cuz that's the going price I've seen lately.

a quick search of completed listings on ebay uk shows that the've been on there for £15 and not sold, although with the extra shipping you're prolly back up to $50.
I think the place to look for these things at a bargin price is a job lot that someone is selling, like you can get a console and a few games and a steering wheel for £30 then keep the wheel and any games you like the look of and resell the console along with a few games that you want to off load and make your money back. There is bound to be someone that cant be arsed to check what their stuff is worth before the sell it.
