but seriously... even if you had to do just play one game for 5 weeks. So what? You got $750 and a story to tell about the time you "had" to play one game for 5 weeks. Jeez, when I was young and used game stores didn't exist yet, I played the same game a lot longer than 5 weeks straight. haha.

I can see your diary now:

Day one:
"I'm feeling good. I was stressed this morning, but after killing some guys, I feel a lot better"

Day two:
"I still feel great. I probably would be happier if I could pop in Super Mario World for a few minutes, but still fine."

Day three:
"OK, I'm starting to get bored. Call of Duty isn't very good"

Day four:
"OH. MY. GOD! I NEED TO KILL SOMEONE! THIS IS SOOOO BORING!"

Day five:
"$&(#*&%(&! I WILL KILL YOU!! CALL OF DUTY! MORE LIKE CALL OF BOOTY!"

And the researchers will declare violent video games as the cause of your anger and games with a T or higher rating will be banned from stores and blamed for all the crimes in the world.

So wait, is it multiplayer only or can you play single player? In multiplayer can you only play other folks participating in the study, or anybody you want? What about mods?

Well, they are going to be looking into my brain. So I dunno.

I'm actually kind of interested in the study because the gist of it is that they're looking for a way to reverse whatever effects violent gaming may have on young adults. Which is pretty neat. A far cry (no pun intended) from your typical "do video games make children evil" research. That said, I'm gonna try and be a decent test subject :)

Heh, yup. As a poor college student, just the though of $750 makes my eyes light up. That kind of money could get me to play nothing but Ultraman for 5 weeks, and still walk out of it happy.

Hmm. Well I'm quite past being a poor college student, and don't really see how getting payed $750 to PLAY A GAME could be below anyone.

If the game was terrible and it was the only game you were allowed to play?

Actually, since you said Call of Duty was your thing, I think this is a perfect way for you to make some easy cash.

Me, on the other hand, would be a crappy test subject because I'd be pissed off because I would only be playing CoD for 2 hours a day for 5 weeks. I'd have to destroy something.
