A couple others finished off the rest of the First Forty Canon of Oz
But there are another 100 some odd in the saga. Most consider the first forty the end of the series since it gets alittle more than odd after that.
What do you guys do for a living? (& gaming budgets)
I'm just curious to see what gamers/collectors do as their day job? How many of you guys actually have jobs in the video game industry?
How much money per month do you set aside for gaming related purchases?

I work with an IT team to provide support for 15 or so car dealerships in the Houston area (we have 7 guys with 2 primary dealerships for each person); earlier in the year it was stressful and we had some tight project deadlines but it has slackened up quite a bit over the summer.
About 4 months ago I moved out from my parents house with my wife and we bought a home. Almost 2 weeks ago I bought a used motorcycle so I could ride with a few of my childhood friends. Soooo... lately I have not been saving up for games at all. If something goes on sale on XBLA or PSN that I am interested in I will pick it up but I have not been actively searching for stuff lately. It actually hasn't been too bad because it allows me to hack away at the backlog of games that I have
Before moving out, having to pay bills, and all that great stuff I would probably spend around $200-$300 a month on games.

Former Sailor going to school full time on the GI Bill. I manage to eek out a little less than $100 a month for gaming purchases so I usually go bargain bin diving for classics I may have missed or sometimes I get that one big purchase.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Work for an auto insurance company. Don't really have a predermined budget set aside for gaming. Basically, if there is something I want and I've got the bills and food expenses taken care of, I'll see if I have enough money left over to buy the game
What's nice about gaming is the disparity in prices. So unless I'm completely broke, I can usually find enough money for some kind of game. Maybe on a certain week I don't have fifty to sixty bucks to drop on a game, no biggie, I'll just go looking for something cheap instead like a copy of Madworld or some cheap sega genesis game on ebay.

I do video editing/shooting for real estate. So basically I'm broke.

IT support for a small-medium sized landscaping company. I'm right out of college, and just moved into a fairly inexpensive apartment. I don't have a ton of expenses, although I still try to put away as much as I can. I probably average $200 a month or so. (Although, last month wasn't a big game buying month for me. Getting a new place is expensive. I did buy a TV though. Does that count?)
Re: What do you guys do for a living? (& gaming budgets)
i work for non-profit housing counseling agency that works with low to middle income class households, and my wife works for the local community college, so between the both of us, we make a modest amount. I don't really have a set budget or gaming, but i try to stick to spending no more than $25 each paycheck. Some weeks i spend a little more, other weeks, not at all. Which reminds me, i need to go to the "finds of the day" thread and post my recent steals...
