I remember reading that the x-arcade's tank stick actually has a surprisingly decent trackball on it.
I suppose if you really liked the overall design you could just replace all the buttons and sticks with actual happ ones for a whopping $50 or so.
Arcade Controller Help
Re: Arcade Controller Help
Indeed, much like everyone else I hear the X-Arcade is an expensive case. The stock parts are rubbish.

xarcade is like buying a 100,000$ car for 200,000$ with a blown motor, no doors, and 4 blown out tires.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.
Re: Arcade Controller Help
It's fine for a trackball (they have a separate trackball controller) - large and durable. Make no mistake, though, the trackball doesn't act like a trackball, but a mouse. As far as I know, there's no way to get true trackball performance out of MAME, since trackballs rely on Windows mouse drivers.
Re: Arcade Controller Help
Alright well for my 360 I have decided that I will buy the Capcom fight stick off their website. I don't know of any local places that sell it so I will have to order it online.
Thanks to everyone for their 2cents on the topic, I really appreciate it.
While we are on the topic, does anyone know of a good fight stick for the Dreamcast? I have quite a few fighting games and shmups for Dreamcast and having a nice fight stick would be really awesome.
I have lots of arcade games, shmups, and fighters for Snes, 360 and Dreamcast mainly so I wanted to get a decent stick for each system.
I have a NES Advantage that works pretty well too but unfortunately my Super Advantage is kind of crappy. The buttons stick and it seems like the joystick isn't that responsive anymore. I took a gamble and bought it from a pawn shop so I'm not too surprised but I wish I could get a mint, responsive one.
I will probably just keep buying Super Advantages until I get one that works perfectly. If I get a spare I will try to take it apart and fix the sticky button issues too. But as far as Dreamcast goes, I am a little in the dark on the subject because I never owned one during the hype.
