For goodness sake, get the NES or SNES...but preferably SNES.
The PS3 (and most of its library) has a lot of depreciation left to go, while the NES/SNES and their games are probably going to hold steady in terms of value.
Plus, if you buy that PS3, in perhaps in a year or two it might YLOD. The NES and the SNES, on the other hand, are both built as solidly as a brick--now that's a gift that keeps on giving.
