Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Dudes. Take a xanax. It is their job to ask if you need help, if you have an edge card, and to see if you want to pre-order a title. That is it.

You should be happy there is a store that still addresses customers.
I'm with the other guy. I hate it too. If a hitman is after me, he's just doing his job. Doesn't mean I have to like it. Ok, that analogy was stupid. :)

Gamestop: Hello welcome to gamestop. Do have any questions.
Joe:Yeah I just came to look at the games here.
Gamestop: What game are you looking for.
Joe: I looking for something interesting.
Gamestop: You should buy a gamers edge card and game informer mag for only $15-20.
Joe:LET ME JUST LOOK AT THE GOD DAM GAMES... STOP HARASSING ME.
Haha I hate that in games shops. Particular this shop called Game which we have in the UK.

It's really annoying how they bombard and harass you. I normally just tell them I'm "just browsing for the moment" and that I'd let them know if I need help.

I used to work at a gamestore that told us we had to offer 10 different things to each customer....It got terrible results for the company, now bankrupt, but it was interesting to see which employee could come up with the most annoying way to get all ten across...and you knew which customers you could annoy the most, then you would help the moms...cause they were the buyers....lol!

I don't mind if they come across as polite and knowledgeable, and willing to to help you, instead of simply bombarding you with crap because tey've been told to. But a lot of the time they come across as "just doing their job" and frankly that's what makes it annoying a lot of the time. Especially when they're trying to sell you crap you don't care about, or like when about 10 years ago I was thinking about buying a Dreamcast they were advising me to pre-order a PS2, because it'll be "more powerful". How about you tell me about the Dreamcast I'm interested in buying!?

They should be worring more about getting more people on the tills and sorting out the huge ques. It's like in the banks when they have huuuuuuge ques of people waiting and they're still trying to convince you to try new ISAs and accounts you don't give a shit about. There's about a million people behind me who are getting tired of waiting, just cash my cheque and let the next person come.

Right sorry, rant over lol. I'm probably exaggerating a bit, it's not too annoying.

And Chris Leach, yeah they always target the moms lol.

Yet I'm sure that picture of Jason Alexander is from a Bob Patternson promo. The longest running 3 episode show of all time.

Queue is one of my pet words for correction. Especially considering how often it comes up in my professional life (programmers love queues).

What if you joined a forum that for some sadistic reason automatically filtered "queue" to a misspelled version?
