Picked up an Xbox recently, and for the first time ever I bought more than 1 game with a console. These Xbox games are so cheap at the moment, I couldn't be more happy with them, there's a lot of fun to be had on the Xbox it seems:

Ninja Gaiden (wow, wow and double wow, this has to be one of the best games I've played in ages)
Project Gotham 2 (and this...)
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Dead Or Alive 3
Gunvalkyrie

thanks for all the replies

Yeah I'm looking to get a XBox soon too and I was amazed how many XB games that were once the hottest thing are now dirt cheap!

This is the weird order in which I have bought my consoles:

2005 - GC - Ikaruga
2006 - PS2 - Rez
2006 - DS - Mario Kart
2006 - Saturn - DoDonPachi
2007 - Dreamcast - Under Defeat
2008 - PS3 - Burnout Paradise
2008 - PSP - Loco Roco
2008 - Super Famicom - Bomberman Panic W

As you can see I recently got into consoles and i am enjoying my experience so far. I can barely remember what I did before I got started.. i was probably playing way too much Ultima Online ;)

Oh and I didn't get the Super Famicom for Bomberman Panic, it was first but I got it for Super Mario World series and Donkey Kong Country :)

Saturn: Radiant Silvergun. All my other first games pale in comparison, of course!

Pretty cool idea for a topic. I don't think I ever bought a console at launch, though I think I bought the Dreamcast very shortly after its launch

NES-Super Mario Bros. and Double Dragon-The first two video games I ever owned
Atari 2600-No idea what game it was or even where I got the system from. Buried in my memory somewhere
Genesis-Sonic the Hedgehog I think.
S-NES-I can't remember.
Gameboy-I don't have the original gameboy anymore, but I think I bought it with Super Mario Land
Gameboy Advance-Hmmm, not sure. I'm guessing Mega Man Zero, but it's only a guess
N64-Starfox 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Starfox 64 was the game that convinced me to buy the system
Dreamcast-Sonic Adventure
PS 1-I can't remember.
PS 2-Can't quite remember either
Gamecube-I bought it refurbished at Gamestop for a cheap price. I don't think I bought a game with it.
Sega Saturn-I got it off ebay with a copy of Dragon Force, but Guardian Heroes was the first Saturn game I really sat down and played for awhile.
Xbox-Halo.
Xbox 360-Gears of War and Dead Rising. I can't remember if I bought Oblivion that day too. I ended up trading in Gears of War and Dead Rising as I wasn't impressed with either. I put the store credit towards Viva Pinata, which was the first 360 game that I really enjoyed

I think of all the consoles I've bought, I was never more excited than when I bought my N64(because of the awesomeness of Starfox64)and my Dreamcast. The Dreamcast was so full of potential and great ideas. I've never bought a console since that generated as much excitement in me as the Dreamcast did when it was released.
