Shmups set in modern Japan

As the title reads- I am looking for a shmup set in modern Japan. I am just really getting into this genre and have an itch to play one with a Japanese city backdrop. I know there are probably 100's set in the future but I am looking for something reasonably current. Any ideas?

I know Sapphire for the PC-Engine's first stage has exactly what you're looking for. I'm also pretty sure the Shikigami no Shiro games take place over different Japanese cities.

Radirgy is set in what seems to be a modern Japanese city.

Also check out Aero Fighters 2, it's not set in just Japan, it goes all over the world (fry to the rainforest!), but it's set more or less in the present. Plus one of the planes is flown by a dolphin, so that's always a plus! :lol:

Wow awesome, thanks guys for all the suggestions. Right now I am checking out Radirgy and Sapphire as i have access to those two right away.

And yeah, um, I don't think i could pass up on a pilot dolphin. The game actually looks quite good and is next on my list 8)

Otomedius Gorgeous has a present-day Tokyo level.
