RE4 is on a whole different level man. It's nothing like the earlier RE games. It's honestly one of the best Cube games ever. You seriously should consider giving it a shot.lisalover1 wrote:Wind Waker, definitely. I haven't played RE4 [I don't like Survival Horror games at all],

I would go for Animal crossing. Its really fun and is very addictive. Since you already beat re4 and wind waker, why not try something new?

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
I've actually been playing through RE4 this past week. It's so amazing. I'm up to that huge ogre thing that throws trees at you. He's messing me up pretty bad, in fact I think it's the first genuinely challenging part of the game. I haven't used a guide yet.swiftzx wrote:

I think the game has a great balance of being challenging, but not overly difficult or confusing -- with perfect controls. BTW -- it really reminds me of some of Stuart Gordon's, Brian Yuzna's and Dan O'Bannon's film translations of HP Lovecraft. Namely Dagon, but others as well.

Animal Crossing may have the least votes, but I recommend you go for it all the same. It's reasonably priced and will keep you entertained for hours at a time- plus you can get NES games :0
Sega Genesis (Model 2), Sega CD, Sega 32X, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Game Boy Family, Phillips CD-i Model 910, NES, Atari 5200, Virtual Boy, Atari Jaguar, Playstations 3-4

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
Well, it's just that I scare really easily, so I avoid most things in the horror genre. Also, yeah, I know it's practically sacrilegious for a Gamecube collector not to own RE4. Is it quite as scary as the previous games? I just hated that feeling of desperation and paranoia in the previous games in the series I tried. Also the tank controls. I despise tank controls. [But I know they're gone in RE4]. If it isn't as scary, I will definitely pick it up the next chance I get.noiseredux wrote:RE4 is on a whole different level man. Also, you know why the Gamecube is more powerful than the PS2? The GC version of RE4 is around $15, and the PS2 version is about $5-$10.

If you scare easy that's all the more reason why you should play them!
(also, technically, RE4 didn't get rid of the tank controls, they just put the camera in a fixed over-the-shoulder view, which makes things less disorienting.)

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
RE1 and 4 are scary in different ways. RE4 is just really fast paced so it can be startling... but it's more "fun scary" than the sort of "you're doomed... you're all doomed" feel of the first game. The first game was scary in a very claustrophobic way. I don't know. Even if you scare easy -- you should give this at least a try. I just feel like you're missing out on one of the most fun games EVER. (And I'm not usually one to perpetuate hype, but this game really is EVERYTHING that critics say it is).
Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
Voted Zelda, but get animal crossing too. Technically, you can never beat it.
