Hey guys, I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to advise me on my next purchase. As some of you probably know I recently bought a Gamecube again after selling it years and years ago. I have 10 games so far that are keeping me fairly busy, but I'm trying to decide which game to buy next. I'm not made of money, so I'm trying to not get carried away when buying games.
Anyways, I've narrowed it down to these 3 games:
Zelda Wind Waker
Animal Crossing
Resident Evil 4
Some things to consider here. Wind Waker seems to cost between about 20 - 30 GBP. Animal Crossing generally about 15 - 25 GBP. And Resident Evil 4 about 10 - 20 GBP. That's just from a quick ebay/amazon look though. Like I said, I'm not made of money, so price to enjoyment ratio is kind of a factor I guess.
Also, I used to own Wind Waker and I've completed it before. I absolutely love it though and would love to own it again. Resident Evil 4 I actually already own for the PC and have completed. I want to own the Gamecube version though purely because I don't really like playing games on a computer and I don't own a decent pad (meaning I have to use the keyboard). Animal Crossing I have never owned and have never even played. I've always been intrigued by it though.
So it's between a game I've never played before, one I already have on PC, and one I used to own but a long time ago.
I was just wondering on your opinons. Thanks guys.

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
alright, I chose Wind Waker. But the decision is really hard -- though Wind Waker is my 2nd favorite Zelda game ever, it must be said that RE4 is a damn-near perfect game. Both are amazing.
Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
No one for Animal Crossing so far then? Haha I guess it was a stupid choice to put in with arguably 2 of greatest Gamecube games.
Don't suppose anyone could shed some light on Animal Crossing? Is it worth a purchase? I've never played it (or any of the series) before.

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
I loved Animal Crossing when it was released. I played it a lot back then. But it grows tiresome after a while. Have you ever played a Sims game? It's very similar.
I still have the game now, but I only use it to play the included NES games. (You can actually get a NES system in the game, and certain games for it. There's even websites devoted to programming codes to unlock the NES games.) So I really only keep Animal Crossing around now to play Punch-Out!! or Donkey Kong or Excitebike. And I keep meaning to unlock Pinball.
But yeah like I said, Animal Crossing is fun for a bit. You should play it sometime. But not before you play Wind Waker and RE4 -- two of the best GCN games ever.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. Well like I said, I've completed both the WW and RE 4 before (and still own the PC version of RE4). But I guess despite that, it'll be better to pick them up first and think about Animal Crossing later. I'm not really a big fan of The Sims either, so it might not really be my thing.
It's been so long since I've played the Wind Waker anyways, it'll probably be like playing it for the first time again
I'll see what other people think

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
animal crossing is not a game.
it is something like:
virtual ..........
or
......... simulator
or
life (style) something
I am not saying it totaly sucks, but if you want a game than do not buy this.
You´ll walk around cathing fish and selling and saving up for a bigger house.
12 year old girl stuff.
Why don´t you get F-Zero GX and play it with a component cable on a 50 plasma?

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
Wind Waker hands down. I am currently playing through it right now. Although I've beat it before, it's better my second time around. It has been so long since i have beat it the first time, i forgot how much I appreciate the style and detail of it.
Resident Evil 4 is a great game believe me, but if you own a Wii or plan on owning a Wii, pick it up for that system instead. It's just a bit more fun with the wiimote.

I love F Zero GX! I will most likely pick that up at some point too. Possably next after I buy WW or RE4.
alexjames01, my family have a Wii, so I might consider that thanks.

Re: Help me pick my next Gamecube game
Wind Waker, definitely. I haven't played RE4 [I don't like Survival Horror games at all], but Wind Waker is one of the most fun and well-make games for the Gamecube.
