Quick question: Scott pilgram vs the world

Post by c0r33 »

I've been watching trailers for scott pilgram (the game) and I've noticed something. At the end of every trailer it only says playstation network I haven't saw any XBLA logos at all im almost certain the game is coming out for both?

I could be wrong and maybe its just a problem on ubisofts end? Can anyone clear this up?

I keep seeing a lot about this game and the movie. Is there some reason I should legitimately care about Michael Cera playing an awkward super hero, or have they just gone overboard with marketing?

I don't like Michael Cera. So I'm not going to bother with the movie.

And the game? Isn't it just a sprite based brawler? Is it actually any good? Movie tie ins are usually lame....

Two things:

1. It's based off of a popular comic book or graphic novel. Not sure which

2. The story it's based off of featuring lots of video game references. If you've seen any footage of the movie, it really looks like a movie made for gamers. From what I can tell, Scott Pilgrim lives in a world that seems built like a video game. It's sort of, I don't know, meta I guess?

As for the video game, I'm just excited because it looks like an old fashioned beat'em up game in 2-d. I love those, if it's any bit as good as castle crashers I'll be downloading it

Oh, and how can I forget, it's from the director who did Sean of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, both excellent movies and both very geek friendly. Sean of the Dead is for horror movie geeks, Hot Fuzz is for action movie geeks and Scott Pilgrim is one for us gamers.
