That trailer was completely useless. It's mostly the guy trying to seduce the girl and she just seems shy, then there are some dark snippets that appear to be from something completely different. Then I read the blurb which told me things that the trailer didn't hint at all.REPO Man wrote:Here's a trailer

INCEPTION.
Was pretty good, and Nolan put a lot in there for the over-thinkers. It'll sound great on my home theater once it is released on dvd.

Dead Snow- Zombie Nazi Comedy- in the snow, pretty funny, awesome gore, and Nazi Zombies
The Good Son- this was a good movie, i think the thing that made this movie so eerie was because the characters were children, were they not, I wouldn't have liked it, something about kids killing people is freaky to me, Culkin did a great job in this one
Moon- Sam Rockwell, never disappoints, awesome sci-fi movie about a man who has been on the moon for a little too long- directed by David Bowie's son, highly recommend
Confessions of a Porn Addict- a mockumentary about a porn addict, I thought it was real the first few minutes of the movie, because I am not too familiar with KEnny vs. Spenny, but I was researching the movie while watching it, and found out it was fake, it wasn't very good after I found that out- guys wife leaves him cuz of his addiction, then he reunites with her, kind of cliched

I do not and have nothing to comment on the movie itself. Merely noting that the trailer was completely useless at conveying the feeling of the movie to convey interest. It was the polar opposite of most Hollywood trailers these days that give most of the movie away or use up the best jokes, depending on genre.REPO Man wrote:Well if you have NetFlix, it's availabe for Watch Instantly.

Donnie Darko
Just watched Donnie Darko for the first time. I'm confused yet intrigued by the the concepts from the movie. Definitely worth watching again, especialy after reading the Director's interpretation from Wikipedia. (note - don't read the Wikipeida article if you have not yet seen the movie - major spoilers)

I really like the theatrical cut, but I've heard and read from many places that the later released director's cut muddies things up. I suppose reading the link will hints at whatever's different in the director's cut? The existence of S. Darko was troubling at the time that I read the description on the back of the DVD so I just stayed away from it.SpaceBooger wrote:Donnie Darko

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It's been a long time since I have seen the theatrical release. The director's cut does seem a bit "dumbed down", but I would need to see the theatrical release again to point out differences. The introduction of chapters in the DC leaves the film less open to interpretation.Hobie-wan wrote:I really like the theatrical cut, but I've heard and read from many places that the later released director's cut muddies things up.
