Arc the Lad is Underappreciated?

Post by JC48573 »

I used to hold back on this franchise maybe because I was afraid to try something new. I really want to know if many people own the games. If you do have them, then please share your thoughts about Arc. Do you guys perceive it as an underappreciated title? If it is, should we branded as one of the undiscovered psx titles (for reals)?

Not sure what to say but this section really feels dead for some reason.

Where too busy playing 80 - 100+ hours of RPG goodness!

I've never played Arc the Lad. I'm sure somebody will chime in soon. :)

I have the Arc the Lad collection for ps1. Although I have only played the first game in the installment so far (The collection comes with the first 3 games). I beat it a few months ago, so I should be firing up the 2nd one sometime in the near future.

Essentially Arc the Lad 1 was a teaser game designed to hold gamers off until the real game came out, which is now know as Arc the Lad 2. Arc 1 can be beaten in less than 10 hours, offers very places of freelance exploration and is overall pretty easy. However, the game play aspects are all pretty fun and Arc 2 claims to take everything that was great about Arc 1 and expand it into a 40h+ RPG that you would expect to play.

Arc 3 was the first to be in 3d and I don't know much more than that.

I believe there is a 4th game that came out on PS2 but I haven't heard much about it.
