Looks entertaining. Still don't know how they're gonna mash this fantasy stuff in with Iron Man and Hulk though. Probably by just not really mentioning it. The trailer did seem to hint at a sci-fi side with the science/magic one in the same thing. But still, this is on a whole nother level than fancy robot suits.

I'd like to see some Doctor Strange eventually too so I have no problem with magic.
It's not that I have a problem with fantasy movies. But they have set up a michael crichton type realism up with iron man. I've made this comparison before, it's like doing 2 jurassic park movies based on creating dinosaurs from frozen dna, and then in the 3rd one a dragon appears out of a magic portal. It just doesn't mesh.
Looks like the Ultimates version of Thor with the bullet points of classic Marvel history thrown in. I know there are concessions to make for todays audiences, but I hope they throw in a few "Thou arts" and "Dost thee"s in the dialogue in tribute to Stan Lee's scripting. And to me Anthony Hopkins does not have the mass or stature that Jack Kirby drew into Odin, but as a comic geek i'm biased. No matter what there there better be a shot of the Rainbow Bridge from Midgard (Earth) to Asgard, or else the movie is a total failure.
I am glad they got an unknown for Thor and yeah, Odin looks weak. Baldur is the shit though. Hopefully he gets more than 10 seconds of film time.
Balder, looking at my mini series. *shrug*
I am wondering why Loki becomes king. I do not remember that happening. As far as I know Odin is still around in the Marvel Universe. Of course I do not read modern comics so I could be wrong.
