Do all copies of Phantasy Star IV for Sega Genesis come in cardboard boxes?

I bought it when it first came out, and it was in the cardboard case... so I would guess that it only came in the cardboard case. In Europe is came in the standard plastic casing. I'm guessing your only concern is the North American copies though? As far as I know, all the North American ones came in the cardboard cases.
