Chaos Field

Post by noiseredux »

am I the only one that loves this game? I remember a review I read (was it Crabmaster2000's?) that called it the 'Shadow Of The Colossus of Shmups,' which I think is a perfect description. It's got the mechanics of a perfect shmup -- spaceship shoots stuff while dodging lots of bullets and listening to techno -- but at the same time, there's no levels. Just boss battles. And the bosses are huge. It's kind of an amazing game. I think the comparison is apt.

they are both amazing games. Two of my favorite shmups - though very different in execution.

I was reading thru videogamecritic's reviews last night and was shocked to see that he gave Chaos Field an F. An F! How weird is that? Especially considering how many reviews he writes that I agree 100% with. I found this shocking.

I just got it a few days ago, but haven't really sunk my teeth into it. Pretty fun from what I've experience of it.
