toy story is awesome. varied game play throughout, ain't nothing wrong with that. there is even a first person perspective level. you aren't blasting the shit out aliens, demons, or anything else associated with the typical FPS, but just finding and picking up little green toy aliens.

i beat super mario world the bitch way: i took the first star world path in the 2nd world and just went straight to the castle. nostalgia i think is having the opposite effect on me: the more i play this game the less i enjoy it. i think it is a combo of it being too easy and the fact i have beaten this game infinity times.
if you took a shit, please put it back

by far the hardest game i have played in a while. i probably spent close to a week with it. and what made it hard was the bastard red demons. in the nes version they were easy as pie to kill, but these bitches dodge bullets. i only could ever beat one if i had the arrow weapon since they shoot up at an angle. i have yet to play ghouls and ghosts on genesis, but i think the nes version is my favorite. i thought the levels were blah. especially the 2nd level and having to sit on that raft as the screen autoscrolled at a snails pace. the 3rd level was boring too. but overall, a kick ass game and a kick ass series.

Did you use an emulator? I beat this on the GBA because you could save the game, but going through this game twice is a mother.

You did beat the game twice, right?

no emulator. i did beat it twice. all in one sitting. i know i am a bitch, but i had it on beginner setting. after playing daily for about a week i did get pretty good at it. i gave myself 9 free men per continue and only used 1 continue. but that still equates to about 18 free men used.

i doubt i would have been able to beat it without the arrow weapon. even though the power of the weapon sucked, i found that the upward angle that it shot at made killing of most enemies, especially the red demons and bosses, much more easy.

how were you able to kill the red demons? were you able to figure out their pattern? and how did the saves work? did it save between levels or could you save anytime/anywhere you wanted to.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Ack wrote:Anyway, a fighter is beaten when arcade mode is beaten. A fighter is completed when all unlockables are collected, endings are viewed, etc. That's my definition for it anyway.
Using this a basis, I can add one more game to my list for this year even though I beat it in the past:

01-31-10 "The Adventures of Batman and Robin" (Genesis-GameGenie)
02-28-10 "Super Mario Galaxy" (Wii)
04-11-10 "Castlevania Adventure Rebirth" (WiiWare)

07-13-10 "Simple Characters 2000 Series Vol.08 - Gatchaman - The Shooting" (PS1)
08-04-10 "Metroid: Zero Mission" (GBA) NEW
08-05-10 "Marvel Super Heroes" (Saturn) NEW
