Why do folks have to name fangames as if they're official? How are these guys going to feel when/if sega actually DOES make a SoR 4?

Sega bringing back Streets of Rage. That'll be the day! In any case, if Sega ever actually did make a Streets of Rage 4 (and while we're on this trip to Bizarro Land, let me also pick up a copy of Darkstalkers 4, Cyberbots 2, Last Blade 3 and a new Sunsoft 2D Fighter), it will be such an incredible disappointment that people will consider the fangame "The Real Streets of Rage 4".

I was just about to make the same post, but with more "Ha"s thrown in for good measure. Also, as long as we have this inter-dimensional portal open, I'm going to see if I can me a copy of Ristar Adventure.

So cynical, I'm going to laugh at you guys when Sega puts out an awesome SOR4 for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade after seeing how successful the new 2-d Sonic game is

I agree about the name thing. If you don't work for Sega, you don't get to call it SOR4. I'm not too impressed by the youtube vid I have to say. I'm glad this ISN'T the real SOR4. Honestly, there aren't many BOR games I've played that I've been impressed by, but maybe I just don't know what the really good ones are. The problem with homebrew and fan made stuff is that it's so damn derivative. Simply copying what's been already done isn't impressive

You guys are acting like your going to pay for this fanmade SOR4 game. Take it as is, a very cool freeware fanmade SOR game with original graphics design, new story mode and updated fighting style. Not another hacked sprites of SOR2 or 3 like every other BOR game out there. Awesome work so far but yeah, where is Blaze? don't tell me she got kidnapped like Adam did in part 2.

Whoa, Awesome fan made graphics and game play mechanics. Yeah I do agree with the name thing, maybe they should call it something else when it's finish but it looks like the creator mind is made up being SOR4. I still think the game is going to be awesome regardless.
