Or you can get a SlimFit CRT HDTV like me.
They don't get over 32 inches, but they are an afforable solution to hold you over until better technology gets cheaper...
I've been meaning to ask. What places still sell them? I can actually afford this now. I want to finally get one fairly big (32'' is gigantic to me) display for all my stuff, including PC.

How's this one? I'd prefer not to use Best Buy, of course.
Samsung is what I have and that is basically the same as my 27" only is extended to widescreen.
Best Buy and Sam's Club are the main places I've seen them.
Sam's Club is also typically cheaper than Best Buy

As long as it has an option to keep old games in 4:3 ratio, I'm good. I don't want stretched games. I find that to be intolerable. I'll read some reviews first. I still need to sell a 17'' LCD and a graphics card. "loser13" on this forum just vanished conveniently right before paying for the card. What a loser.

I guess this means I need to sell the 20'' flat tube SDTV I'm replacing.

Even my 4:3 TV has options for aspect ratios, so I would assume that model would as well.
If you find a particular model you have your eye on, you might want to download the PDF manual from the manufacturer's website.

I did that right after I posted. It does. I dunno how I'd get this TV home though. It cant fit it in my car. Anyways, I'll figure it out eventually.

Know anybody with a truck? You might be able to fit it if you take it out of the box first (I've done that before)

It seems like CRTs are still the best option for people who plan to do any gaming because of the resolution flexibility. I know that when I go HD that's what I'm planning to get.

Why'd you get rid of it?

Racket, have you used your PC on your's? Hows the quality? I mostly want wide screen for the advantage in FPS games, primarily TF2.

Yes, I have a media center PC hooked up to it. My video card has a breakout box for a lot of TV-out options.
I use component and while it's not perfectly pristine, it's not too bad. By that I mean that it's not as good as hooking it up to a real PC monitor for stuff with small text (like browsing on Firefox), but quite good for TV stuff.

My TV doesn't have VGA or DVI, but has one HDMI port. I tried a DVI-to-HDMI cable a while back and it didn't seem to work. I didn't tinker with it much though as I already had the component out.
