Anyone Watch MLB baseball?

Post by EvilRyu2099 »

Well I just got done seeing my Tigers get no hit by Matt Garza, a pitcher throwing meats all game.. Let the second half swoon begin yet again!!! 4 years and counting under Leyland... My team is pathetic and it doesn't help with our injuries and Triple A lineup out there.. I think it's safe to say I'll be loading up on Jim, Jack and Johnny for the rest of the season

OK done with my rant.. What teams are you guys fans of and/or rooting for the last two months? I'm going to be rooting for the Rangers and Rays since that's apparently my only chance at rooting for a winner this year...

I hate baseball but root for the Rangers. My wife watches baseball because of all the stupid Redsox shit up here so I have to have someone to tell her is better than her team.

Edit: And I do not call it "stupid Redsox shit" around the in laws for sure.

Could care less about baseball but I love those gigantic pretzels you can only get at a baseball stadium.

It's amazing how baseball is ingrained in the American psyche. Sticky seats, warm overpriced soda, and a dried out giant pretzel while watching a sport I could care less about. Yet it's still awesome.

I love baseball but screw Major League. Until they get a salary cap so that someone besides the damn Yankees or Red Sox can have a chance...

Minor League Baseball is my sport. I am a die-hard Fort Worth Cats fan (American Association) but while I'm living in the Austin area I go see the Round Rock Express (Pacific Coast League) as often as I can afford to.

Minor League. The games are more interesting, the tickets are a fraction of the price, and you can actually afford enough beer to get drunk.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

i'm a life-long rangers fan and i don't follow any other sports, just baseball. i didn't pay any attention after the strike in 94 through the 99 season, mainly due to the bad taste the strike gave me, being in college and then moving around a lot. this means that i missed every year they were in the playoffs. i'm absolutely starved for some ranger playoff victories and this is definitely the best texas team i've seen.

on a related note, i think this is my first post on this site since baseball season has started.

Dodger fan. For now.

Seriously though, I've been True Blue since I was a kid, but lost interest in baseball for a good chunk of my late teens/early 20s. The thing is, when I follow baseball, I have a tendency to get way too into it and find my mood depending entirely on what the Bums do. I'm trying to tone that down now, which is made easier by the fact that I can no longer watch every game on TV, but I'm probably always going to be in danger of "losing interest" again for the sake of protecting myself.

Anyway, fuck the Yankees.

Huge lifelong Phillies fan here. I watch a couple of games a week during the first half of the season, and pretty 2/3 of them after the All-Star break. It pains me to see the team struggling this year with such a great roster - hopefully they can pull out of their first half slump and make a strong playoff run.

I still have a goal of doing one of those summer of baseball stadiums tours. At this point I'll probably do it with my son when he gets older (he's only 1 now), but I think it would be a memorable trip. I've been to about 8 or 9 different stadiums at this point, and always find that there's something magical about seeing the game in a new place.

I follow the Red Sox. New England fans are very passionate about the Red Sox compared to any other region. I watch ~90% of the games on the HDTV.

I do enjoy going to the ballpark but it's a lot cheaper to watch at home.

As the biggest Twins fan you can bet I will be cheering the Tigers in their next series against the White Sox but that's it. Who knows maybe see them in game 163 again.

I am also a Tigers fan who is disturbed by the team's second half collapses.

Hopefully they will spend some money in the offseason.
