holy crap you found FF7 at a price that isn't inflated and actually makes sense.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I know with 1 zillion 624 copies sold why should that game be so damn valuable? The discs were a little rough but I was still able to turn it around for 30 bucks.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
A lot of it's popularity. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing games like God of War and Halo starting to go for prices like this when the next generation or two rolls around. It also might be because the games are harder to find complete due to all the discs and manual, and jewel cases are hard to keep in good shape.jukappa wrote:I know with 1 zillion 624 copies sold why should that game be so damn valuable? I agree though, anything that made greatest hits shouldn't go over $10.

OMG! OMG! OMG!
So I bought a sealed copy of Phantasy Star Online III (GCN) and it had one of those generic pictures of the game cover. I paid $16 shipped. I just opened the package and it was a mislabel... I actually received a SEALED COPY OF PHANTASY STAR ONLINE I & II (GCN)
for $16 shipped. Wow.

Got the white one here, but no manual inside. 5 bucks worth it though.

I got the new Plus version. At any rate, I've been searching the Gamestop links for like 2 years, so I can't believe this dumb luck. I just opened it. It's so minty fresh, it's amazing.CRTGAMER wrote:You lucky dog. Was it the explopit White label or Blue "fixed" version?noiseredux wrote:OMG! OMG! OMG!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I think a couple things contribute to FF 7's annoyingly high prices. It's an rpg, typically pricier than other genres, it has historic signifigance for making modern rpgs popular and selling a lot of Playstations, it's part of one of the most internationally successful and well known franchises in the industry, collectors are too proud to buy "greatest hits" versions of a game(I'm guilty of this), it's four discs(like you mentioned it might be tough for some people to get all discs) and many copies have that misprint. That's unique and probably drives the price upDylan wrote:A lot of it's popularity. Have said all that, I still think it's incredibly stupid to pay a ton of cash for something that is not rare, but at least I can see what makes it so damn expensive. I actually have an original black label, misprint copy. So I shouldn't be annoyed by the high price, but I'd love to get another copy mint or sealed and with the prices it goes for.....not bloody likely unless I find a great deal like this one "in the wild".
jukappa, did yours have the misprint?
