2 New Characters in Super Street Fighter IV to be revealed

Perhaps later today Super Street Fighter IV should have 2 new characters announced.

When the arcade version was testing 2 additional roster spots were shown and left empty possibly for a later revision to include 2 new characters. This is a strong possibility and has been hinted at by the Producer many times.

Ono said the blank character slots for SSF4 arcade won't be revealed until the Tokyo Game Show in September.

• New alternative costumes in the works for Super Street Fighter 4. Available in the fall, based on past designs. Everyone gets a new costume.

• Capcom will have official tournaments called Capcom Cup competitions utilizing Tournament Mode. This was talked about back when they did tournament mode, but it's nice to see it come to fruition. Started in Japan yesterday, but will happen in all regions soon.

It's Rolento and Elena according to whispers on Shoryuken... No new stages to be added and they already have stages that fit them. and they're 2 of the 6 Character avatars released on PSN last week;

...Erhm. Well, I hope this is true. Elena and Rolento were exactly the top two characters I wanted to be in SSF4. After them, I want to see Alex, Karin, R.Mika and Yun or Yang, in that order.

If Elena is in this game, I'll actually pick SSF4 back up.

It was the above characters along with Q released as avatar pics which would give you 7 additional characters for "Street Fighter 4: Third Strike" (or whatever they'll call it) That'll be three down each side of the SSF4 roster and one to take the place of the randomizer.

Expect the Arcade SSF4 to have the 2 extra characters exclusivly 'til next year, with all 7 guys joining for a home version. Doubt it'll be DLC though, as the new guys will have to be balanced, unless they nerf them completely. and we'll probably see new backgrounds for them. So it's back to retail! If they've got any sense they'll package this as the 'Classics/Platinum' re-release of SSF4.
