Threatened is a strong word. How do you feel threatened?
You know how it's said that people in general don't like change? Well you can put me in that category. I see things changing, unfamiliar aspects coming into my world, and I don't like it. That's all there is to it. Anyway, I'm gonna opt out of the conversation now. It's getting a bit heavy for a forum that I normally come on for some light-hearted retro game discussion - plus I'm going away for a few days and wouldn't want you to think I was ignoring your replies!

I'm really appreciating all of the anti-Christian and anti-religion rhetoric coming from several of the folks making fun of those "less tolerant" than they are. There's a word for that, and I think Alanis Morissette wrote a popular (and dumb) song about it...

Oh yeah, "Baba." Wait... That's not it!

If by "my intolerance" you mean atheist intolerance for religion, then you are precisely wrong.

See: Chinese national persecution of Christianity and Falun Gong.

I don't see a problem about it. Unless that particular mosque praises enemies of the state. Also; I was going to make a statement about religion in america based off of statistics, but shit look at this mess, wiki.
* Christianity: (58.3% to 82.3%)
* Unaffiliated, including atheist or agnostic (11.6% to 37.3%)
* Judaism (1.2% to 2.2%)
* Islam (0.6% to 1.6%)
* Buddhism (0.5% to 0.9%)
* Hinduism (0.4%)
* other (1.4%)

You do realize that neither of those sets of figures adds up to 100%, right?

This thread is going to break out into a full-scale flame war soon; I think a moderator should lock it.

But, one last thing before I stop posting in this thread: Octopod, why are you intolerant of other people's religions at all? Have they ever done anything to hurt you in particular? For example, what is so terribly wrong with the ideals of Christianity? Your intolerance is self-proclaimed, but there's no point to it unless you're using that intolerance to make someone else's life harder.

Ah. I think you need to go back and re-read your previous posts.
