First Time I Beat Secret of Mana......17 years ago (pic)

Post by hashiriya1 »

I found this pic diggin in the garage over at my parent's house.
I remember when I took this pic, too. I was a mere zygote in 1993.
I brought the polaroid back home with me and took this snapshot of
it with the original cartridge!Anyway, thought I would share.

I have a polaroid of the first time I beat FFIV, but I have no idea where that is.

Started 11/26/1993, Finished 12/30/1993.
I guess I had nothing better to do during Thanksgiving and Winter breaks from school.

Dude, that's awesome! I have to do something like this so I can look back years later and see what I accomplished.

Also, how old were you when you took the picture?

Thats really cool man. I wish I had more pics of myself playing games as a kid. Its a damn shame we never saw the official sequel here. If any game deserves a refresh its Seiken Densetsu 3. Since Squareenix is known for remaking old games, maybe someday they'll do this awesome series justice.

Fixed it for you. But seriously, Squeenix has done such a disservice to the Seiken Densetsu series these last few years that I just want them to stay the heck away from it. Nothing worse than a beloved childhood title becoming synonymous with crap.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think I have a Polaroid picture of when I got 181 or 189 lines in NES Tetris back in the day. It's probably in a box with the rest of my Nintendo Powers at my parents and I haven't found it yet.

Yeah I hear ya on that. The last few entries of the Mana series have been dismal. I just don't understand how they could take such a tight game and turn it into the crap they released on the PS2 and DS. However, I would like to see a direct port of pt 3 on the DS though. Not much they can ruin if they do that...I hope.

I'd take a look at some of the people on this board that do reproduction services. I've been playing Seiken Densetsu 3 with a great english translation on my actual Super Nintendo for the last couple of weeks. I got it from Electrochip for a steep but reasonable price. There is something about playing a game with that particular pedigree on an actual Super Nintendo that just feels...right. It makes me feel like I did playing Secret of Mana as a kid 13 years ago.
