Yes, the game has been confirmed to be released worlwide. If you haven't played the game, then it's the best time to pick up the enhanced version.

This will go nicely with the PSP I plan to buy in the near future.
BTW, do you have an opinion on Tactics Ogre for the N64?

You mean Ogre Battle 64. It's awesome, but it plays very differently from Tactics Ogre. Tactics Ogre started off the style of SRPG that was continued with FFT and emulated many times over. Ogre Battle 64 takes after Ogre Battle on the SNES, which is more of a real time strategy game. It's all about army building and positioning, as once two units meet and go into combat you have no control over them; they act according to a general strategy and succeed or fail based on your overal strategic decisions.Medical Dust wrote:BTW, do you have an opinion on Tactics Ogre for the N64?

9/10 for me. Well worth the purchase. I have it on Virtual Console since I don't own a N64. And I think the original cart is a bit expensive. Not sure though.MrPopo wrote:You mean Ogre Battle 64. Ogre Battle 64 is one of my favorite games. I've always loved SRPGs and the Ogre Battle series was a very uniquely executed one, with Ogre Battle 64 improving on almost everything from March of the Black Queen (the SNES one). I played Tactics Ogre on PS a long time ago and loved it, but unfortunately it carries a decent price tag on it, else I would've bought a copy long ago.

Wow this is great news.
How will the PSP version be improved, considering the original is a PS1 title?
Ivo.

Heard about the news just after getting back from Comic-con.
Will be interesting to see the "father" of J-SRPG, since I only played FFT.
I wonder if this will lead to a true successor of FFT (no, Advance is not!)

Actually, it was originally a Super Famicom game, and was later ported to both Saturn and PS. The PlayStation version is just the only one that made it to America.Ivo wrote:Wow this is great news.
