Little Big Planet 2 collector's edition

Post by dlmvii »

November 16th, $79.99

Looks pretty cool too, it comes with a 7" sackboy plush and bookends(!).
I had some trouble finding it in amazon for some reason, so here's the link
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O6 ... ss_product

Supposedly it's a very limited run, though I'm not sure exactly what "limited" might mean. In any case, the first one was so much fun I have no qualms plunking down $80 on day 1 for #2

is it the same game as the first one? I don't really get the need for a sequel where users make all their own content.

I'm honestly asking. Why should anyone buy this one over the cheaper original?

I never played the first, but isn't it touted as having like a huge amount of customizing built into the level design? What did they add the sweetens the pot and justifies another disc purchase?

This is why you do not understand the awesomeness of LBP2.

Little Big Planet was platforming and platforming alone (aside from some creativity to make platforming look like something else).

Little Big Planet 2 is the other genres. Racing, shooters, flying, sports, adventure, puzzle, mini-games, and more. Consider it the mother of Little Big Planet. I wasn't interested in a sequel as I became bored of the first title, and low and behold Little Big Planet 2 became a day 1 purchase.

Fucking Limited Edition stuff though. I'm such a sucker...

ah- that makes sense. I wasn't really into LBP, but the idea of making my own puzzle games sounds fantastic. Might pick this up.
