Turns out the Omnibus team that was making a Left 4 Dead mod is making it for Alien Swarm. So yes, there will be a Spacehulk version of AS in the near future.

I love this game right now, already got the titanium star, would have the second promotion of people didn't always leave me... lol. Feel free to add me, paincakes I believe my thingy is. If not try Ernesto_S if you wanna play some good ol' Alien Swarm!
I've been playing a lot on a survival map I downloaded, which has been a lot of fun. Part of the reason was it will allow me to play online by myself, which is good considering how many jackasses and 12-year-olds with mics I keep running into. People seem to take this game too seriously at times.
Anyway, the only problem I have with trying out other maps besides the regular campaign is that you don't gain experience for playing on non-official maps, which means it's a somewhat limited experience right now. Oddly enough you do gain achievements though, so I've gotten a bunch of them.
Still, I'm liking the game, so if I'm online and you feel like playing, I may just jump in.
I feel that experience does really mean too much at all. You cap at level 27 and then you can accept the promotion to get the medal next to your name and be reset at level 1. You can get to level 27 very fast and there is really no point in accepting the promotion other than showing off I guess.
