3DO imports?
3DO imports?
I know the 3DO is mostly region free. Are there any compelling Japanese games that are playable without knowing Japanese? I don't expect there to be a lot, FMV wouldn't fare very well. But maybe there are some puzzle games or shooters I could try. I'm aware of Bust-A-Move but not much else. Any ideas?

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon S - fun 2D fighter
Yu Yu hashuko - Just as fun as the sailor moon 2d fighter.
Short Warp - weird minigame game. Some parts you need to know Japanese numbers written, not much though.
Furopon World - Addictive puzzler. Not to be confused with not Furopon Kun which was released in the US as Trip d, The japanese version does have extras and different visuals though.
Belzerion - FPS al ot of the story will go over your head but its quite playable
Taiketsu Rooms - Menus will be hard to navigate but once you got it, its easy. Puzzle game and rare to find. Reminds me of Bomberman with water.
Insector Wars - weird first person game
F1 GP - F1 racing game
Autobahn Tokio - Much better racing game similiar to NFS
Pyramid Intruder - Shooter, a remade version of Pyramid Patrol Laseractive.
Royal Pro wrestling - If you like wrestling
Ultraman Powered - Its a playable fighter and thats all I will say
Montana Jones - Has a lot of genres in it but mostly platforming.
Crayon-shin Chan - another puzzle game not bad though.
Totsugeki Kikan (Karakuri) Megadasu!!- multi player arena shooter.
Hopefully that helps your search, By the way Bust-a-move was released in the US unless you are talking about some other game that isn't puzzle bobble.

you are not missing much in the jp 3DO scene.
Most of the games that are playable in english are not really worth playing. I would invest more in your US collection before looking overseas.

Re: 3DO imports?
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give Totsugeki Kikan (Karakuri) Megadasu!! a try for sure. I liked D and E0, and it's from the same company. Should be interesting to see an action game from them. Pyramid Intruder looks good too. I like those FMV rail shooters for some reason.
Bust-a-move is listed in Wikipedia as Japanese, and I didn't see it in my US games torrent. I'll see if I can find a US image.
