shmups for xbox (the original)

I have a original xbox, and love playing panzer dragoon orta. (haha on on my 3rd time beating it). I dont have many games for this system. Is there anymore shumps I should be looking at? I already do own a ps2, so hopefully there are some exclusives for it. I didn't see much on this website though. (my fav's are the panzer dragoons/rez/ikaruga) style play, but im open to other ones as well.

Xyanide is the only one I know of right off-hand, but I think Shikigami no Shiro 2 was released for the Xbox.

I think it was actually the first shikigami no shiro as opposed to the second that was released for xbox. But it was only released in japan so you'd need a japanese xbox to play it.

I think that covers everything. All I have to add is that Orta has the original Panzer Dragoon as an unlockable, and that if you mod your xbox CoinOps can run a lot of arcade shmups quite well.

Xyanide's opening cutscene is as creepy as the urban legend regarding Lavender Town's music causing kids to go crazy and commit suicide.

Too bad the game itself isn't very good.

As for Xbox shooters, there are only a handful, most of which were only released in Japan. Shikigami no Shiro 2 is on Xbox, but I recommend playing the English version for the strangest English dialogue that technically isn't Engrish.Just youtube Castle of Shikigami 2 and you'll quickly discover what I'm talking about.

The best thing you can do is softmod your Xbox and install an arcade emulator such as Coin Ops Reignite and put on all the classics from Gradius to Sexy Parodius to Aero Fighters 2 to 1942.

There are also some homebrew shumps on xbox.

To be honest RPG's, sports, and shmups are not my forte but I can correct Taito Legends 2 was not a US release. So more of a clarification there ...
