Xbox Originals, NOW you need a 120 GB HDD

Seems like a cool idea, but I have to force myself to get a new hard drive for this, plus I already have half the games, and most of them are backwards compatible, I will download them, if they go HD and maybe I download one game.

But to me personally, your better off pick up a used copy of the games for less then 10 bucks at GameStop.

its all bs to me, instead of making games truly backward compatable with all titles they would rather just try to cash in on old games that are easily available at the store.

i dont blame them for making more money, but that is total bs to me. i have about 30 xbox games and i would have to spend $450 to replace them, total bs.

Oh yay, 5 years of loyalty gets you $6.25. Let us all rejoice, oh wait I'm in Australia so I don't even get that. Do they expect people to get excited about that as a reward for half a decade of subscription :?

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Isn't it cheaper to just go out and BUY the games they're going to have available! Ha!

I have the 20 gig HDD so I'll just buy the older games used.

We are seeing the beginning of the end for backwards compatibility. Sony is selling PS1 games on PSN and PS2 games can't be far behind now that they've axed bc in the newest PS3 models. Nintendo is making money (I assume lots of it) off the Virtual Console, even though half the games released for it are crap like Urban Champion. Now Microsoft does this.

The next round of hardware won't have a whiff of bc. They'll want to re-sell all of the titles instead. Boo.

It's actually a very clever idea and the prices are about the same. For example, halo at gamestop cost 25 dollars!! only 2 less than halo 2, so you save 10 bucks. But crimson skies is 5 and pyschonuts is 18. So in the end, the amount you pay will probaly be equal to or a little less than the average price of those games.
Also all those lazy people can simply push a button and two hours later they have their game. It's a very smart movie, microsoft rakes in more money that didn't exist before and the lazy demographic is pleased.

Good point, plus if they ever release Marvel vs. Capcom 2 in the XBL Marketplace, the game cost $50 used, so if you download it for $15...Its a freaken steal!
