Making a website- need your input/help!

Post by alexjames01 »

Hello fellas,

I am in the design stage of a new personal retro-gaming website and I am needing some ideas here!!

First here is the design so far (many empty spots but i'm getting there):

The buttons on the side of the tv would obviously scroll through the featured reviews changing the screen in the tv.

Some things I am needing:

1- This baby will need a name. I have racked by brain about it but cannot think of anything catching. Maybe i am just un-original.

2- By the look of it, you would think its all Nintendo related... well, it's not. I am needing some images of straight on shots of other consoles (pre-ps2). I would also LOVE a straight on shot of some games/boxes i could use to "stack" on top of the shelf, tv, or console. I can find many of these images but the perception is always off- the shots are always from above or slightly above. I do not even own a digital camera any longer. Ideas? Pics?

3- Input???

Looks great! Keep Java Script to a minimum. Nothing will kill visitors faster then a slow loading page.

I personally thin that the top banner is a little bit large. I understand why, but I don't like how it looks and it would probably get in the way when scrolling down. Maybe, somehow, make an option to make the banner into a smaller version?
