Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
If I were you (and I was willing to sell any of those games at all), I'd keep everything with "Mario" in the title and Pikmin, and sell the rest. I think those have the best chance of at least holding value, and possibly improving. I don't know about the Star Wars games, but I don't expect Soul Calibur II or Eternal Darkness to be worth much at all in five years (they're not worth a whole lot now).pureevil wrote: i'm going to keep game cube but still don't know if i should sell of some of my games now or later as not sure if value will go up in future. That was the point of this post but guess it is a very hard question.I just wonders what racketboyers thought.

Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
I'd say Eternal Darkness is worth a bit more than SCII.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
i would just seriously keep everything. put it in a box in the closet and try not to think about it for a few years, then when you're doing some cleaning or something you'll be like "oh shit!" and have a stockpile of potentially valuable, yet still super fun games.

I can guarantee that if any of those games goes up in value, it'll be ED. SurHor games tend to get expensive once they get old enough.noiseredux wrote:I'd say Eternal Darkness is worth a bit more than SCII.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
Eternal Darkness definitely. The two Star Wars also unique follow thru from N64. Why not hang on to them all, not going to make much as a sell anyways. More of a concern of losing great games that will be harder to find should you regret years later.

Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
Yeah, if anything I wouldn't sell right now at all. Gamecube's in that nice little limbo that all systems go through where it's too old to be relevant to gamers but not old enough to be considered retro or nostalgic. Great time for buying, bad time for selling.
Still though, to echo what others have said, you probably should just hold onto it. You may not play it much now, but you'll get the itch to go back to those games eventually.
Just make sure that if you do decide to sell them, you put them up here first

indeed. This week alone I got my 2nd Cube along with Component Cables, a 2nd GBPlayer and modchip for less than $50.AppleQueso wrote:Yeah, if anything I wouldn't sell right now at all. It also makes right now an excellent time to buy an original xbox or ps2 and get a jumpstart on a collection for them.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
Sounds like I should hang onto my gamecube collection for about ten years.I have four cubes now though three of them boxed its getting a bit crazy.
