I really liked the game, it is far better than New Super Mario Bros. It has been my toilet game for the last few weeks, still have around 4 or 5 levels that need all red crystals.
My break from uni ends today so I imagine my progress with finishing games will slow a bit.

Beat both of these last night. You've got to be about perfect to beat Altered Beast with three health bars and no continues, which is what I did. Luckily, I bought the Genesis when it came with Altered Beast, so with only one game, I played it a lot.
Streets of Rage 2. Better graphics, removal of some fairly cheap bosses, but I still prefer Streets of Rage on the Sega CD. SOR2 feels like an amalgam of SOR and Final Fight. Plus, SOR2 is far too easy, and it seems you have less kick ass attacks than the first installment. That doesn't get in the way too much, because you can beat any enemy with the slow punch. One punch stuns the foe, then just keep slowly punching, and he'll never move. And the final boss was a huge let down. Great music though.

Gatchaman The Shooting was short, easy, and fun. I will be playing this one more often to try to beat my high score.

valis: this game is pretty short and easy. in fact, the first few levels are nothing but bitch work and skill is actually required the 4th or 5th boss fight in. not good but not bad
terminator: i had some unused pay pal money lying around saw a minty copy for 20 bones on ebay. i always wanted this game and couldn't pass up the deal. the word on the street was this game had a rockin' sound track. it def lived up to the hype. it is awesome. but for how awesome it is, i felt the music really didn't match the mood of the levels...at all. but the game is awesome by the way.
double dragon: short, but hard game. damn hard. you can customize how many lives and continues you can use. i maxed them out and i just BARELY beat it. according to what little i read, this is the most faithful arcade port of the game.

Chrono Trigger was a great game, and I really enjoyed it, unlike a lot of old-school RPGs I've played. Not much I feel I can say about it though.
Okami represents my 12th beaten game in my alphabet marathon, and it's a great game, although a little looooonnnnggggggg for my liking. Its quirky and fun though, and I'm glad I've played through it.
I should be returning to the letters I've missed now, so next update should be at least a few of ChuChu Rocket, Jet Set Radio, Nights and Pokemon Stadium.
On a seperate note, I've finally chosen a game for X, albeit on a technicality. 3D Space Tank for DSiWare, which is known as X-Scape in the US, and is the sequel to Japanese game boy game X. Its not my only game on a technicality: see Super Hang-On (H), Block Game (AKA Quarth -Q) and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest (Z).

I have a new least favorite Halo game. The game sucked, but the music was awesome - jazzy noir-esque music in my FPS? More please!
NFS: Undercover really impressed. It offers beautiful visuals, precision intuitive controls, and a decent amount of gameplay (all for $1!!).

Also, what's with the color coordination? Did I miss that post?
