I just bought this TV product for my small gaming room. The reason I bought this is because I hate to switching the cables every time I want to play something else. PS3 has RGB cables so I don't need this for the switcher product. I mainly going to use this for Dreamcast, Wii, Sega Genesis or n64. I was just wondering if any of you bought this product TV switcher from target/retailer? I wish it had more inputs more for this. I payed about 14 or 15 for this device.

I hope my tv brakes or becomes worse this year. So I can get Flat screen tv ranging from 22 to 27 inch tv. I own a 27 inch standard TV, about 4 to 5 years old.
One question about the PS3 red laser light behind ps3. It also seen on the ps2. I think its called optical something. How does one turn off the red laser behind ps3? I'm not talking about bluray laser.

I used to use a device similar to that one, I since then upgraded to a bigger one. It worked well.
The red "laser" is for Optical Audio. You cant turn it off as far as I know.

Re: 3-Device Audio/video switch?
I've got an automatic AV selector with four inputs. Instead of buying a second one I bought 12 Y cables effectively making it an 8 input Automatic AV selector. Eventually I did have to buy a second one. Then I got 3 more Y cables and put those on the input of my DVDr and have the two outputs fro mthe two AV selectors going into the DVDr. That's how I record junk for youtube and have 12 systems hooked up to my TV at once.
I don't put up with the manual switching on the selector...I need it to be automatic. I just turn my console on and go.
Then for the Power strips I've got three power squids. I love those things! Makes hooking up the Genesis/sega cd/32X a breeze!

Using splitters (either cables or adapter form) degrade both audio volume and image quality. It is the whole point of using them.JerryTerrifying wrote:I've got an automatic AV selector with four inputs. I have two hooked up for my retro consoles (and I have a few consoles unplugged that I use less often), I need to pick up either 2 separate four input boxes or 1 expensive component switch box for my component needs. At the moment they are getting switched.

Good move getting a video switch box to avoid breaking video cables.
Maybe a better switch box that supports S-Video for the Dreamcast, and N64?
CRT a better image for the older 4:3 consoles, especially when not having to be stretched on a widescreen.
Plus you can lightgun House of the Dead on the Dreamcast on your standard CRT.
I believe you are talking about the optical out for audio. Setup menu for audio settings. Or a cap cover.
Either S-Video or Composite, both work, S-Video gives a cleaner pic.

Re: 3-Device Audio/video switch?
wow that last one looks great. Right now im low on cash and have to wait. I actually found a RF modular for my cousin old standard tv so the next I see him I can play the Nintendo wii or maybe the dreamcast. My cousin doesn't have AV on the tv except the antenna cable in that room. At the moment I don't even got any S-video gaming cables. Would like to try it on dreamcast. Would also like to get some s-video cable for the sega genesis model 1 someday.

Re: 3-Device Audio/video switch?
One example, cheaper S-Video/Composite combo video switchers are common. S-Video a big improvement over Composite, S-Video cables 5 bucks used and video switch boxes around 10 new. Large CRTs with all the inputs at goodwill for 20 - 40 bucks.benderx wrote:wow that last one looks great. Right now im low on cash and have to wait. This one at Gamestop is actually the SNES/N64/GC S-Video cable. With luck the GC component.
