Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
Not very many games are ever going to go up in value in general. Only a handful of games are worth more than their MSRP.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
I have been thinking about witch system to collect for, this thread has sold me on the GCN.
Thanks guys,

I would keep them mate. You will only regret it further down the line and end up spending more money than you made selling them to get them back.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
All of those games are probably going to go up in rarity eventually. Mostly in Pikmin, Mario Kart if it has the demo disc with it (was that in Europe or was that an American exclusive, the demo disc?) Soul Calibur, and Star Fox Adventures, which has a pretty decent cult following by itself.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

None of those games are ever going to be rare. They are all popular titles.
Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
By "rarity" I meant sought-after. IE: Earthbound. Not in the same league, obviously, but in the general category.

Re: Thinking of selling off my gamecube collection
I hope no one takes this too harshly, but selling a game system and its games just because you got another one is pretty damn stupid. (Unless the system in question has backwards compatibility, then keep the games and sell the console.) If you need to make a little bit of money, sell two of the Mario Karts (unless you plan to LAN multiple GCs) and maybe Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and Star Wars Bounty Hunter. If I were you, I'd save up for a used Nintendo Wii and get a Wii-Clip (or a regular mod chip if you know how to solder) then sell your games. (After you copied them.) I just modded my Wii with the Wii-Clip and it was damn easy.
As for the question of the value of Game Cube games: They'll likely go up in value in the short term, but probably not enough to make a killing off of your current games. (Most of your games are pretty common or have not gained good public reception.)
