You said before that you didn't have a Wii but just so you know, the Wii version supports both the Classic Controller and Gamecube Controller. Unfortunately when you play with the Gamecube controller, all the button prompts use Classic Controller icons which can be pretty jarring.

But yeah, the Gamecube version is totally worth it, and the PAL boxart kicks ass! :D Though we don't get Progressive Scan, so... D:

This is one of my fave games of all time, so it's nice to see it get some love here. I appreciate the old style too, not so much because I loved it, but because I understand why those games were designed that way. I muched preferred RE4's approach though and I really liked Leon as a protaganist. I missed playing as him in RE 5

I think it is best to at least play RE 2 before playing RE 4 though, because Leon and Ada were such a big part of RE 2 and are the main characters in RE 4. It's not absolutely necessary though to enjoy RE 4, but you can actually get through RE2 pretty fast if you don't mind the use of a walkthrough of some kind and only focus on playing through Leon's side of the story(which I think was the best of RE2's two storylines anyway)

For me, it's the best game on the Wii. Although I haven't played through the Galaxy games yet. I also have the Cube version, and it's in my top 10 ever, but I think the Wii one surpasses it. Controls take 10 mins to get used to and then you will never go back to Cube ones.
Currently playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist

I agree with this, as I said before, it makes the controls much faster and more accurate. After finishing 4 on the Wii 5 on the Xbox 360 felt sluggish, still a great game, just the controls did not feel as responsive as 4 on the Wii.
