I'll be back!

Post by jfe2 »

Just want to let anyone who cares know the reason I haven't been posting a lot lately. I still love the community here, and I'm constantly lurking, but I just have a ton of different things going on in my personal life right now. Divorce, a mini-stroke, and battling depression for over a year have all taken their toll. All this at the age of 24! HURRAY FOR LIFE!

I don't even really have the energy to leave the house, and even worse, the thought of even interacting with people here terrifies me. I started taking depression meds, so I'll see how those make me feel. I promise I will be back though!

And yes, I did the Terminator thing in the title intentionally!

That sucks. Especially at 24. That's pretty young. Hope you get through everything OK.

Also, I read the title in the Terminator voice when I saw it.

I do hope you get better, as some people are not fully aware of their mental health.

Sorry to hear. I kinda had the feeling some of this was going on from bits and pieces in your posts. Hopefully it won't be a messy divorce like it was with my parents.
I went through depression in my teens and it was awful, remember you have people who care about you and a lovely child to care for. Hope meds will help and I assume you are seeing a pyschiatrist since you are taking medication, tell them the truth and be honest with them and yourself. I went through years of seeing shrinks because I would act like everything is okay. If you ever feel the need to talk to someone feel free to pm me. Good luck and take all the time you need, we will miss you in the mean while.

Even if not here keep playing those video games, it can be good threapy.

My little brother had a stroke recently he's about your age too. That stuff is scary. It's sounds like things are pretty low right now, but you can get through it. As others have said, we're here for us if you need us. Glad to see you've still got your humor about you though. Tell Skynet I said hi.

Wow, JT's brother and jfe2 both had strokes at really young ages. I didn't realise this was possible. Scary sucky stuff.
