Anyone know the value of this baseball card?
Anyone know the value of this baseball card?
Hey Guys, I was watching the homerun hitting contest last night on espn, and Big Papi David Ortiz won. I use to be into baseball card collecting when I was younger and am sitting on a ton of cards. Anyway, I dont have a current price guide and I was thinking of selling this card on ebay. It's a David Arias (ortiz) 1997 Fleer *tiffany, card number 512. One tiffany card was issued in every 20th pack, so the chances were slim you'd get one, and even slimmer it would be a good player. Anyone into baseball cards and have an idea what its worth. I have nothing to compare it to since nobody has sold one or is selling one. Thanks!

I have a ton of 86 - 91 baseball cards, i am about to throw away.. waste of money over printed POS!
Not really mad about it anymore, but i wish i wouldnt have bought these as an investment.
Look on ebay for current baseball card values.

Looks like Google has a pretty good guess. I can buy it from the above site for $20.
Hope that helps. I took a look at Beckett as well, but you have to pay to see the prices.

I think that's an identical card. Anyway, watch this auction and see where it ends.

I don't get it. Why would someone pay $300 (or even $100, for that matter), when they can buy it for $20 from the link I posted? Where do you see that it's $300? You might want to buy up that $20 one and make a profit if you think it's worth that much...

Card values have been absolutely ruined with flooded market. Plus to get anything for your card it needs to be graded and come back 9/10.
Let's hope that grading bull never catches on with games.

The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

Its the TIFFANY card. Tiffany cards are a parallel set. You get one tiffany card per 20 packs. They are a high gloss card with the word tiffany on the back. The card you are referring to is the card from the regular set. In the Beckett price guide it lists this card for $300 high.spiritplx wrote:I don't get it.
