Well, I am looking to do some gaming on my media pc which is connected to my HD all the way across the room.CRTGAMER wrote:I don't get the need of wireless if you sit close to a PC monitor. Its not like the huge HD where you sit on the other side of the room. Couple approaches you might try:

Well, I can't vouch for its usability, but it does fit into the cheap wireless controller category...

Re: Nice wireless PC gamepad for retro emulation?
I know it's not what you were asking, but I was looking for the same thing and ended up deciding to just run a 15ft USB cable that goes into an un-powered 4 port hub in my coffee table so I can use my existing controllers.
I plug my TE stick, 2 USB saturn pads, or my wired 360 controller into that and also have my keyboard and wireless mouse receiver (for better reception) plugged in there too for general PC stuff.
I was worried about the length of the run but it has worked great so far. Great for emulators!

Slick move, more controllers to choose from that way!Jayson wrote:I know it's not what you were asking, but I was looking for the same thing and ended up deciding to just run a 15ft USB cable that goes into an un-powered 4 port hub in my coffee table so I can use my existing controllers.

Re: Nice wireless PC gamepad for retro emulation?
I never thought of that. I haven't ever tried to connect a controller through a hub. I guess that solution would be more reliable. I'm not entirely sure that I want to go that route though since I don't have a large collection of usb controllers and I am not generally satisfied with the ones I do have. Thanks for the suggestion though.Jayson wrote:I know it's not what you were asking, but I was looking for the same thing and ended up deciding to just run a 15ft USB cable that goes into an un-powered 4 port hub in my coffee table so I can use my existing controllers.

Re: Nice wireless PC gamepad for retro emulation?
I (finally) got with the times and invested in a Bluetooth USB adapter for my PC
hence I am using the Wii-Remote together with the Wii Classic Controller
so if you've got a Wii at home, you can just invest in a Classic Controller (and Bluetooth) and use it on PC
I paid a bout €7 for the Bluetooth adapter and about €20 for the Classic Controller
best damn D-Pad out there IMO
let me know if you need some help setting it up (should you choose this direction)
