Video game movies never seem to work, especially fighting games. These two movies seem no different.
What is interesting is that Tekken is being directed by the same director who did Free Willy 2, while King of the Fighters is being directed by a well known Chinese and Hong Kong action movie director.

seen trailers for both
looks pretty terrible, predictably. At least as bad as DOA.

Yeah, they're both going to be complete and utter trash.
For a while, I hated that these companies would ever stoop so low as to do this sorta thing... but I'm just going to hope that they use the blood money from selling these licenses to make some great games.
It's a damn shame no one ever wants to make kick-ass animated movies anymore. I'd like to have seen Production IG make a full length film for KOF, instead of that 30 minute appetizer Another Day.

So in the KoF trailer, the only person I'm fairly sure of the identity of is Blue Mary. That's already a bad sign. Really, can't they just go the Mortal Kombat route? KoF is just like Mortal Kombat; the story is there's a tournament and everyone fights and a few people hate each other. So give everyone the costumes and let them fight single elimination style.

The King of Fighters movie is the one I am most interested in, but both seem to be very bad movies. At least, they seem to be the "So Bad It's Good" type of a bad movie.

Ray Park (Darth Maul, Toad from the original X-Men movie, and Snake Eyes) is somewhat famous and plays Rugal Bernstein in the movie.MrPopo wrote:So in the KoF trailer, the only person I'm fairly sure of the identity of is Blue Mary.
