Yeah I would also consider VI better than IV... Easily. VI has got to be my favourite up there with VII, but that's just my opinion.

VI had the only FF moment that made my jaw drop.
Screw the whole Aeris deal, the attempted suicide had me floored.

My favorite SNES rpg would have to Final Fantasy VI. It made you feel that warm and fuzzy feeling whenever you plugged the cart in.

I have nothing to add since everyone has already mentioned all of them. But anyway...

Love Shadowrun, EVO, Brain Lord, Illusion of Gaia, ActRaiser, Spike McFang... and the really well known ones like Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy VI and Breath of Fire II.

Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG are all great and widely known for being so.

I'd say Lufia 2 is right up there with those titles though. It might not have the recognition and everything, but I think nearly everyone who has played through it completely loved it.

Lufia 2 is fantastic. It's got those puzzle based dungeons that are so rare these days and some very catchy music. Plus, who can forget the Ancient Cave?
