Wouldn't a second person shooter constitute the computer telling you what you did. So basically a long scripted moment.

I always assumed Second-Person Shooters were those that had an over-the-shoulder perspective, like the combat in Resident Evil 4.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. As far back as Zork, most videogames with dialogue are actually written from the 2nd person perspective where "you" are addressed directly, at least "you" in the role of the protagonist. Then I started thinking that since we have 1st person shooters and 3rd person shooters, I wasn't sure what a 2nd person shooter would be... and then I thought of what Yakov might say. :P

That is a third person shooter.

Sounds like the thing that started in my thread. Anyone remember that game called Lifeline on the PS2?
You control a guy at a terminal telling a girl what to do through your PS2 mic. Maybe that's a 2nd person shooter?
