Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
A game that everyone should try. It's a traditional RPG with some social simulation elements thrown in for good measure. Anybody here ever play it?
Re: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
I put in over 120 hours into P4 last year. My wife just finished it a couple weeks ago and she's now playing it through again. It's an awesome game, but I still enjoyed Persona 3 more. A couple days ago, I picked up P3 (PSP). I'm playing it now. It's been a few years since I last played P3 and the PSP version is just as good as the PS2 versions.

I've only played P3.

Trust me, you want Persona 4. I've been considering buying Persona 3 FES. Should I?

Persona 4 has everything that you'd want in a great RPG. I loved how the story didn't involve kids saving the world. They hero's are wonderfully entertaining.

It would actually be faster and easier to make a list of reasons why NOT to get it! Good luck filling up a Sticky-Note.

FES adds some stuff to the main quest (which I haven't tried yet, I'll get to it in P3P) but it also has The Answer, which is a separate post-story dungeon crawl using Aegis as the main character and you start off at level 25ish (iirc). I felt The Answer was worth the purchase alone.

I couldn't stand Persona 3, so it put me off on trying Persona 4. But I've heard they're not that alike. I'm going to have to get P4 one of these days...
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
Re: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
What didn't you like about Persona 3? Persona 4 makes several improvements over Persona 3's gameplay in my opinion, but if you don't like P3 on a fundamental level you won't like P4.

HAHA, watch me blow your mind as i say this: i don't like persona that much...and i love rpg's. While it's a good series of games (i find enjoyment out of them once in awhile) , i would rather play the other SMT games that are so much more darker in story and more entertaining for me. the first 2 SMT games are by far the best, and 3 (called nocturne) was good too. and don't forget Digital Devil Saga and devil summoner. i played persona for a while and came into terms that i was more frustrated, and just not as enthralled as i can be with the other games. i feel the persona series is way too blown out of proportion by the American public and it takes a way from the love of the rest of the SMT games.
