Sega's Bull Fight is another good one that is under the radar. Fun addictive, gameplay.

What Are The Hidden Gems of the 80's & 90's Arcade?

Actually a mediocre obscure game, but talk about huge! I though Spacewars cab was big.

More thoughts. Arcades that have killer sounds of the day.
Not all the current DDRs. For technology available, a pretty good effect.
Crank up the volume, run the youtube. Okay now go Mame already!
GYRUSS
Shoot to the music of Toccata and Fugue in D minor. a precursor to REZ.
C64 version held me over between Arcade visits.
Would purposely not kill the last ship to keep hearing that beat.

REACTOR
A relative unknown of the few trakball games made, the dual woofers!
Insert coin, don't start the game just enjoy the rock vibes, game over good too.
Haddda have it, got the 2600 version with Atari Trakball.

Maze of Kings is another. House of the Dead gets all of the credit.

The Chuck E Cheese by my house has this game though.
Hmm...2002 though so it is later than this threads focus.

Crossbow is an early light gun game I enjoyed as a kid.

The crossbow is made of solid wood instead of plastic. Fun game.

While I agree the game is brilliant, I don't know if I'd call it "hidden". That thing was everywhere, and even ported to a stack of home consoles.CRTGAMER wrote:GYRUSS

Posted because of music quality for the era and more of because now a relative unknown. I guess that could apply for a lotta the 80s Arcades. REACTOR unfortunately only came out on the 2600. At least there is always MAME.elvis wrote:While I agree the game is brilliant, I don't know if I'd call it "hidden". I loved this game back in the day. It was a great control scheme and challenging. Mean people were always knocking potted plants on my head.CRTGAMER wrote: CRAZY CLIMBER
