To be honest I usually get so caught up in over leveling and getting a lot of stuff early on so it takes me about 50 hours...

But if you don't power level too much and skip the side quests I think it's about 25 hours.

I'd say that's pretty accurate, but trust me when I say those extra hours are totally worth it, such a good game

Not played it since it was "new", but I put over 80 hours in, cause I had to get everything, level up Cloud, and just mess around. I've played alot of SRPG's since then, and FFT is still my favorite. All these years later and I still remember getting into an epic random battle with a bunch of time mages....

At a leisurely pace, probably ~30-35 hours to beat it. But chances are you'll spend a lot more time than that if you do any of the extra shit. My first play-through exceeded the 100 hour mark before I actually beat it.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

Yeah, first time I played it took me over 100 hours, but should be much less if you don't max out all the job classes and get all the secrets in it.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

I'd say likely 25 is doable, though I've maxed out the clock every time I play...

Depending on how much you want from the game, it can be beaten within 40 hrs, if you decide to skip out on several side-stories (which can lead to leveling up extra characters to keep up with the main party).

If this is the first time that you are playing this, be patient with the first chapter, the "first" battle isn't going to prepare you for what's ahead, as the game is much deeper than you thought.
