BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

Post by EvilRyu2099 »

Figured I'd make a thread about this since I didn't see any... I have the Limited Edition of Calamity Trigger and I'll preorder my copy of CS before it's released on July 27th.. Not sure If I'm going to totally enjoy this one since they basically reworked all the character tiers... Popular Characters such as Noel and Jin I hear are weak now and Rachel has been totally nerfed to joke status... That's the one thing I hate about Sammy/Guilty Gear type games, is that they totally manipulate character tiers so often... It's like I'd like to stcik to 2 or 3 characters but changing the game mechanics as often as they do makes it very annoying at times..

One thing I see in Arcsys updates is they do make the game better. It did take a while to get there, but Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus went through a lot of polish and tweaking and is my favorite fighting game so far. The same thing will surely happen to Blazblue, but it seems this time around, the updates are more significant.

While I bought the LE of the first game day 1 for full price... I'll be waiting until this version is $30 or less before I get it.

Biggest problem I have is that this game is only going to be bringing two new characters to it (three if you count DLC)... Not really anything I'm too excited about.

Still, I haven't passed up a 2D Fighter yet this generation, so I'll mostly likely be a tool and buy this too.

I haven't seen any big additions to the game, mainly just changing up character attacks. The only new characters seem to be available through DLC, and correct me if I am wrong, but I heard they have actually removed one or two characters, and make you re-buy them as DLC!

The characters that got nerfed needed it.

I'm really excited about this game, the seem to have reworked a lot of it so it'll play much different.

They took out Nu and did that, though I wish they hadn't since Nu is the dumbest shit in the game.

Noel and Jin didn't need nerfs they were never top tier to begin with... I do agree with Rachel though she was cheap..

Same for me I will also likely wait for it to get cheaper. There isn't enough new content in this version to make me want to buy it quite yet. I need to save money for games coming in the Fall!!
