Try just burning directly with the cue file.

Nero and alcohol wont burn under 8x.

8X? Image Neither of those apps will let me burn at anything below 16X. Thankfully, it's worked fine up to this point.

It really depends on your burner...
Low speeds are just a precaution, but not required.

As I said, I burned at 40X... I usually burn anywhere from 40 - 52X. Never really gave me issues... and I've been doing this for 8+ years now (well not 40+, but always at max speed that my burner would support through out the years).

I never burn a game with plans of the disc lasting long periods of time. Maybe a couple months and then it usually goes missing. Just burn again and bam.

hence the purpose of "back-ups"... in case the disc gets damaged, worn or anything.

...
ugh I may be kinda young (only 24), but sometimes I just feel old sometimes when I think about how long I've been doing some things.

repairing TVs and consoles? over 1 and a half decades now? christ.

There is a school of thought that you are more likely to get a good burn at higher speeds because the mojority of the disks and drives are tested to run at the highest speed on the assumtion that everyone will want their disks in the shortest time possible. Not sure what to beleive since I read that idea.

Glad you got it too work
