What kind of frame rates are talking about?Mozgus wrote:I'll check it out on PC soon. After seeing the frame rates on the Orange Box for 360 at Microcenter yesterday, I feel kind of sorry for 360 users if that's considered an acceptable rate for shooters. It's just not playable to me.

Bad ones? Bad enough to where I couldnt aim my portal gun worth a damn, and it Portal has bad rates, I can't imagine what the more demanding games on Orange Box have.Droid party wrote:What kind of frame rates are talking about?Mozgus wrote:I'll check it out on PC soon. Wow, I'm kinda amazed you could understand what the hell I was saying becuase it barely makes sense to me "What kind of frame rates are talking about?" What the hell is that? I guess that's what happens when you jump in front of a computer just after waking up.
Well that sucks that the game is barely playable on the 360 considering it's supposed to be " a gameing powerhouse". I was looking forward to a decent console version of HL2 after what they put out on the Xbox 1 ( which when you think about it was pretty good, all things being equal ) but I guess i'll have to be content with the PC version and maybe see if the PS3 version is any better.

Keep in mind that I am extremely picky about frame rates. I'm sure there's a ton of people who enjoy Orange Box on 360, but if they tried it on my PC then they may not enjoy their's anymore.Droid party wrote:Wow, I'm kinda amazed you could understand what the hell I was saying becuase it barely makes sense to me "What kind of frame rates are talking about?" Many multiplatform games have a worser frame rate on the PS3 than on the 360. But from what I heard, COD4 runs just as well on the PS3.Mozgus wrote:Keep in mind that I am extremely picky about frame rates. And I'm amazed that the majority of gamers/developers are ok with 30 FPS. I'm also suprised that many cant see the difference between 30 and 60 FPS. I guess we will have to wait until the next generation of consoles to arrive and hope that developers use that new power to lock their games at 60FPS.
