Neo Geo emulation on pc

Post by Bloodandbourbon »

Ok, so i'm having trouble figuring thing out... i downloaded WinKawaks and got some roms. but when i click "load roms" it brings up a huge list of games i never downloaded, and when i pick the games i downloaded, they dont work... and why do the neo- geo roms come in like 7 differnt files?

It might work like mame - that list is every rom period. Try to see if you can filter by available. As for the roms themselves - don't unzip them. The emulator is expecting to find all those files in a single zip, named in a certain way. It's best to just leave the file as it was when you downloaded it

Kawaks has filters for how it shows games. By default it just shows every game it supports, you can choose between cps1, 2, neogeo, and region in a setting menu someplace. If I'm remembering right you need to dig up a neogeo bios in order to get it to run those games. I don't think you need anything for the cps games though.
